Description

Covering the northern third of the island of Great Britain, mainland Scotland has a 96 mile (154 km) border with England to the southeast and is otherwise surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, the North Sea to the northeast and the Irish Sea to the south.

This generic, but purpose designed, 3D town model was created for civilian driving simulators.

It was modelled, to be integrated into a far larger area, created by the end customer.

It was supplied to us an old and poor resolution model that ran at low frame rates (30hz). We upgraded it visually, adding more areas and roads plus more detail. It was modernised to higher visual standards whilst also restructuring it, adding better scene management and improving its run time frame rates (60hz plus).

The project was undertaken in conjunction with Thales Group, France.
