Description

This accurate, geo specific 3D terrain model, covers an area in length of over 10km. The modelled area includes the stations at Blackfriars, London Bridge, South Bermondsey, New Cross Gate and New Cross.

26 different training routes (Moves) were accurately created in detail, with detailed signage, selectable signalling and points.

This Real-time scenario was modelled for use in rail driver training. Its primary purpose was for drivers to view and understand new and remodelled rail lines and upgrades, helping them to fully learn new routes, prior to driving them for real.

This project could also be used for signal sighting development and planning reviews.

The project was done in conjunction with Track Access Services Ltd as part of the Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) project.
