3D Real-time scenario of the Hitachi North Pole Train Maintenance Centre modelled for use in rail driver training.

Description

The depot was originally known as North Pole International. The depot was used by Eurostar as the London depot for their fleet of Class 373 trains between 1994 and 2007 during the period when Eurostar trains ran from London Waterloo. The depot is now known as the Hitachi North Pole Train Maintenance Centre.

This detailed, geo specific and accurate, 3D terrain model, was modelled for use in rail driver training within the rail yard area, training for moving between the various areas of the yard and in and out of the workshops safely.

All features, detailed signage, selectable signalling and points were created.

The project was undertaken in conjunction FAAC Simulation.
