Description
This detailed, geo specific and accurate, 3D terrain model, covers an area in length of over 4km (10sq km), including the new Hitchin Flyover and features detailed signage, selectable signalling and points. This area was created while the flyover was in the early stages of construction.
This Real-time scenario was modelled for use in rail driver training. Its primary purpose was for drivers to view the new flyover and understand new rail lines and upgrades, helping them to fully learn the new route, prior to driving it for real.
This project could also be used for signal sighting development and planning reviews.
The project was undertaken in conjunction with Track Access Services Ltd.
