Description
This detailed, geo specific and accurate, 3D terrain model, covers an area in length of over 3km around Old Oak Common station.
9 different training routes (Moves) were accurately created, with detailed signage, selectable signalling and points.
This Real-time scenario was modelled for use in rail driver training videos. Its primary purpose was for drivers to view and understand new and remodelled rail lines, upgrades and areas not yet built, helping them to fully learn the new routes prior to driving them for real.
This project can also be used for real-time simulator driver training, signal sighting development and planning reviews.
The project was undertaken in conjunction with Track Access Services Ltd as part of the Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) project.
