Rail: Shenfield – Crossrail (Elizabeth Line)

3D Real-time scenario of the Shenfield station area for the Crossrail Project (Elizabeth Line) modelled for use in rail driver training.

This detailed, geo specific and accurate, 3D model of Shenfield railway station and the surround rail areas, covers an area in length of over 6km.

26 different training routes (Moves) were accurately created, with detailed signage, selectable signalling and points.

This Real-time scenario was modelled for use in rail driver training videos. Its primary purpose was for drivers to view and understand new and remodelled rail lines, upgrades and areas not yet built, helping them to fully learn the new routes prior to driving them for real.

This project can also be used for real-time simulator driver training, signal sighting development and planning reviews.

The project was done in conjunction with Track Access Services Ltd as part of the Crossrail project.
